We are seeking a highly motivated Mining Engineer to join our team at Curragh Mine Golding is a successful mining, urban and civil infrastructure project management business with projects and operations across Queensland and South Australia. We are reliable and cost effective, working hard to achieve successful outcomes for our clients by working with them in ways that create and deliver value. We are seeking a highly motivated Mining Engineer to join our team at Curragh Mine located near Blackwater.
Candidates will hold Engineering qualifications and be highly capable, possessing not only the required technical skills but also demonstrated ability in applying effective social process skills, including leadership and communication. The successful candidate will have strong drive and energy and thrive on working in a challenging work environment. This is a residential or FIFO role that will operate on an 8:6 roster. Flights, meals and accommodation will be provided if required.

Key Role Requirements
- You will develop short-term mining designs for dig and dump operations, ensuring efficiency and safety in the excavation processes
- Utilize your in-depth knowledge of Vulcan software to create accurate and effective mining designs
- Present and communicate short-term designs with operations team
- Assisting the operations team with seeing the designs become a reality
- Collaborate with our team to identify and implement the most efficient mining methods for each area, consistently adding value for our client
Key capability requirements:
- Degree in Mining Engineering or equivalent
- Additional Commercial or Project Management experience and/or qualifications are desirable
- Strong and demonstrated skills in cost and contract management
- High level communication skills, including written and verbal
- Demonstrated ability to successfully and constructively interact with people at all levels, including internal, external stakeholders and clients
- Demonstrated ability to foster and maintain a ‘Zero Harm’ behaviour and project culture
- Analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Advanced MS Office skills are essential along with Vulcan experience
